  • Pressure in a stew over entry form.

    July 14th, 2008 by Bill Borders · 2 Comments

Leith’s emerging darts talent Stevie ‘the pressure’ Middleton was in somewhat of a fankle last night after realising he had missed the closing date for entry to the British Classic darts tournament. ‘It’s a right pain in the arse this, I was targetting the Classic as comp where I could boost my world ranking from 2374 to at least 2370. Oh well maybe I’ll get a game for the thirds’.

The tournament takes place on Saturday 26th July at kettering and is to be screened by Setanta Sports. A spokesman for Setanta had this to say,’we are naturally devastated that ‘The Pressure’ will not be taking part, we were hoping for him to reach the fianl stages and pull in the viewers. Maybe we can cover the cricket at the Links’?

This is big blow to all fans of ‘The Pressure’. This leaves me with little choice but threaten watch international beach soccer or women’s volleyball on Eurosport in a protest that will no doubt force Setanta to exert pressure on the tournament organisers. Surely we all want to see Middise on tv?
