The firsts got pantsed, the seconds recorded a famous victory and the thirds were edged out in a nail biter.
We won a thoroughly enjoyable game against Marchmont in the Small Clubs Cup on Sunday on a Leith pitch that turned (?) with Nathan bowling on crutches at the end. Special shout out to John Pugh and the Leith massive sound system.
Then Monday night saw us progress in the Parks Trophy (I think - too many cup runs!) with Rana skippering to his 11th midweek win in a row. I know, I’m gushing, but he let me open the bowling.
Stevie also sent around some photographic masterpieces. I leave you, gentle consumer, with this wrong, but somehow oh so right, image.

Although some shocking umpiring!.
the batsmen played well, specially the last batsman with big big sixes and the guy who played almost 17 overs.

Stevie’s photo reminded me of the look-a-likes on the old site here’s the link. John Ingram wins it for me!

Think we are going to have to ask ESCA to put end of season back to accommodate us going for 7 trophies, some evidence fatigue creeping in last night from certain players!

Well Ben, taking the new ball into a gale and then hitting ‘big big sixes’, well into the same gale, takes it out of a man.
Those lookalikes are quality G, methinks I will have to purloin them for this site. Anyone care to suggest some more?
