Sorry for the delay with this report, although I am definitely cowed to an extent by that Frank Simpson and his 2nd XI reporting.
We won by 4 runs, batted poorly apart from Andy and Nathan and ended on 91. The wicket was terrible and they found it so too when they slid from 50-2 to 87 all out. Full marks to all bowlers with Wahid 3 for 29 from 10, Cammy 1 for 15 from 10, Will 2 for 7 from 7 especially good and Rodney unplayable when saved (shrewdly?) until the end.
Rana 3 points
Dicks 2 points
Will 1 point

Please could you find a replacement writer for these reports skip, i am sure this was one of the most exciting games seen down at the Links since Middsy ran a 3 in 1998. A bit more effort would be most appreciated…….

yeah come on skip - you’ve hardly managed to convey the gripping tension, the nearly controversial run out, rodney’s hair, derek tiger tariq tanvir mohammed’s winning pies, nor the exceptional sunlight that scorched the links til evensong. (incidentally - I would have thought if Middsy ran a 3 in 1998 he would be completing the 3rd run just about now…).

I apologise for the lack of drama included in this report. I can only hope to serve you all better in the future.
Perhaps this evening I will seek inspiration in the work of that most well loved fictional author Mr. K. Ferrie.

Ah Mr. Ferrie, the gutter press himself.
Malheureusement I won’t make it back in time for Saturday (maybe for the best as I’d probably get an immediate suspension!), beat them, and beat them well!
I am available from next Wednesday onwards - is there any midweek games?

It would appear your mate is playing for their 3’s these days. His knock here might get him promoted back up! http://stirling.play-cricket.com/content/view.asp?id=10193107&cid=218

Veteran Leith cricketer Steven ‘Middsy’ Middleton last night broke the over 35 world 100m record in a time of 10 becks and 5 pies. This time translates the running of 3 runs in the time it takes to pur a pint of lager at the club !?!
