Last Saturday, a game that never looked finishing, almost did. In (close to) the words of our captain:

I wish it was as exciting in the 1st XI as it was in the 2nds.

Alex 3 (stoic batting)
Cammy 2 (good 10 over spell)
Ed 1 (took 2 for the team).

We may have won had it not rained. I will try harder next week.

No apologies necessary from Charlie because I said I’d put together a report but then went on holiday by mistake. I’ll take the points however. It’s worth mentioning that Rodney and Andy put in commendable all round performances, Ed lost a gallon of blood and Jay was a Scottish wildcat in the field. Well done to Matt who stepped up for a baptism of fire too.
